New Web Server Provisioning

We provision the web server and get it configured. Our servers use the Amazon EC2, which provides you with complete control of your computing resources and lets you run on Amazon’s proven computing environment. On the server, we deploy Bitnami Cloud Images containing a minimal Linux operating system with WordPress installed and configured. In WordPress we connect JetPack. Monthly hosting fees, email and backup software ranges between $19/mo to $47/mo. For more information, see Our Server Infrastructure. Once your WordPress site is installed we will also import the new designs  (we charge an additional $125 for this operation.)

If you need us to help you find a special photo for your site, we can search the web and present a selection of candidates for you to choose from. You tell us what your looking for, and what your budget is (if your looking for professional photos.) We match it up by price and visually by looking through catalogues on the web. Once you select the photo you like, we assist in securing it for you. We charge an $40/hr for this service. Keep in mind some photos will require credit toward the artist or cost a license fee to use on your site (license fees can range from $2 to $50 per photo.)

This service provides a variety of content related services ranging form scanning documents for content or photos, writing copy, or providing translation services (through online translators.) We charge an $40/hr for this service.

Graphic Design (Hourly)

This service is used for logos and page graphics that you specifically request. We subscribe to the best professional collections available and many times, we can get a good starting point from existing artwork or ideas based on your input. For this reason, once we get started, we will ask you for your initial opinion of existing designs. This will give us a better idea of the design elements you are looking for. We will refine a collection of graphics, and ask you for your opinion again. This process usually takes a few rounds and looks like this:

Design Process

Once we have a pretty clear idea of what you are looking for we will present you with a few different rudimentary designs. Then we will construct a selection of 3-5 graphics for your opinion. We will then make selections and adjustments based your input – this could take a few ’rounds’. The process is done over the phone and/or in a shared screen session. The process averages about 3-5 billable hours but takes a 2-3 days for review and discussion.

We can either work on your behalf to get WordPress installed and configured on your existing web server. WordPress can be installed in a subdirectory or on the root. Typically, during transitions to WordPress, we install in a separate sub-directory. Depending on your provider’s security guarantee, we might suggest Bitnami configurations of WordPress, which are constructed for maximum security. We charge $75 for these operations.

Hourly Services: Some services can only be delivered by charging hourly. This is true for services with unknown scope and most 'art' production services since all art is subjective. To ensure we get enough budget to allow for revisions, we use this pricing model.

Project Add-Ons: Add-Ons are services that can be bundled with projects. They can also be purchased separately for 'project' customers at a later date.
